GREENWICH VILLAGE ART FAIR at the ROCKFORD ART MUSEUM
Nina has been invited back to the Rockford Art Museum's Greenwich Village ARt Fair to serve as their awards judge for their 2010 season. The event is on Saturday and Sunday, September 18/19, at the Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N Main Street, Rockford

NINA TO JUDGE
Nina has been invited to act as awards judge for the upcoming Northwest Area Arts Council juried show "Womens' Works". The show is held at the Old Courthouse Art Center, 101 N. Johnson St. in Woodstock, IL.
The awards ceremony with a public opening to follow is on Saturday March 13 at 6:00.

LANDSCAPES at HOME & ABROAD: One-person show at the Northbrook Library.
Twenty of Nina's paintings will be on view at the Northbrook Library from February 1 - 28th. The Northbrook Library is located at 1201 Ceder Lane in Northbrook, IL.

"A Rare & Rich Land" at the Bridge Gallery, Beverly Art Center.
Nina has been invited to show her recent paintings of the Irish Landscape in this curated group show about Irish Heritage. The exhibition will be on view from March 4- April 4 , with a reception to be held on Saturady, March 6 from 6 - 9p.m.

MASTER CLASS CRITIQUES at the PENINSULA ART SCHOOL
Nina has been invited to the Peninsula Art School's winter two-week intensive painting session to work with students. She will be meeting with students for individual critiques at the end of their painting sessions.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ORTHPAEDIC SURGEONS: WOUNDED IN ACTION
Nina has been asked to jury in the submissions for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons upcoming Art Exhibition of Orthopaedic Advancements. The show deals with war trauma, emotions, injury, and orthopaedic advancements. The accepted
entries will be on exhibition in New Orleans.

NINA WEISS & PRISMACOLOR PENCILS
Nina has been chosen by the Prismacolor Company to shoot a colored-pencil fine art landscape DVD. The DVD will be included with the purchase of Prismacolor products. It is an instructional DVD that demonstrates use of the pencils for layering
color, building form,and shadow. The DVD demonstrates the process of constructing a landscape drawing from start to finish. Please check ninaweiss.com and prismacolor.com for more information regarding the product release, and for a trailer of the

COOL GLOBES ON THE MOVE!
Nina's Cool Globe, TALL GRASS: A SOLUTION to GLOBAL WARMING is on the move to Los Angeles!
Cool Globe has been on display in San Francisco, moving on to San Diego. The next stop is Los Angeles - the exhibit will be on display at Exposition Park April 22 - August 2009.

PAINTING PURCHASED FOR THE PERMANENT COLLECTION OF THE COLLEGE OF LAKE COUNTY
Nina is pleased to announce that her painting "Across the Mississippi" has been purchased for the permanent collection of the College of Lake County, Illinois. The painting is installed at the new eco-friendly building in Vernon Hills, Illinois.

DELOITTE TOUCHE CHICAGO NEW CORPORATE COLLECTION
Nina's pastel landscape "Jake's Landing" has been chose for Deloitte Touche's new corporate collection. The company will be moving into 16 floors of a new building at 111 South Wacker Drive. Nina's work was also included in Deloitte Touche's
original collection, which was recently de-aquisitioned. Her landscape was one of only 16 art pieces kept from the original collection.

COOL GLOBES: SOLUTIONS FOR A COOL PLANET
Nina has been invited to create a 5' globe illustrating a solution to global warming for Mayor Daley's project "Cool Globes". The 100 globes will be installed at Navy Pier and along the museum campus beginning this June, 2007. The globes will be
auctioned off to benefit the Chicago School system and other environmental project. Nina's globe is titled " Tall Grass: A Solution for Global Warming". Tickets for the Gala event celebrating the Cool Globes, June 2, can be purchased through the
Cool Globes website.

ART IN EMBASSIES PROGRAM Nairobii, Kenya and Baharaim, Saudi Arabia
Through the Art in Embassies Program, the Department of State provides original works of art by United States artists for the representational rooms of the official residences of the United States Ambassadors and diplomatic missions abroad.
In 1999, Nina was asked to loan three drawings to the Ambassador's residence in Nairobii, Kenya. She is pleased and honored that she has been asked to loan her work once again in 2002 to the Ambassador's residence in Baharaim, Saudi Arabia
